Obituary for Eileen Romito

Eileen  Romito
Eileen Shutiok Romito, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother died Friday, July 28, 2017, at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Born April 6, 1929 in Ravenna, Ohio, Eileen graduated from Ravenna High School and married the love of her life, William Romito. They moved to Tupelo, MS in 1963, where she raised five children.
Eileen worked as a bookkeeper in the family business and taught art classes. She was a talented seamstress and artist who excelled in creating beautiful ceramics, pottery, paintings, and stained glass. She loved bird watching and was especially fond of hummingbirds. Eileen loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Graveside Services will be 1 PM Monday, July 31, 2017, at Lee Memorial Park with Sister Pat Hinton officiating. Visitation will be 12 – 1 Monday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home, who is entrusted with the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Romito; her granddaughter, Anna McCoy; her brother and sister Don and Leona. She is survived by her five children, Alison McCoy of Tupelo, MS, Tim Romito (Tawnya) of Tupelo, Matt Romito (Rhonda) of Opelika, AL, Kathy Romito of Waddy, KY, and Aaron Romito (Kelly) of Olive Branch. Eileen is also survived by four grandchildren, Carolyn Walters, Adam Romito, Stacie Crowe, and Olivia Romito, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick Crone, Cotton McCoy, Paul Crowe, Phil Timmons and David Orange.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
