Obituary for William Lee McKissick

William Lee McKissick, 65, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the University Medical Center in Jackson. A Lee County native and longtime resident, he was born March 7, 1951 to Wesley and Annie Davis McKissick. William graduated from Saltillo High School and then served his country in the U.S. Navy where he was trained as an electrician. He worked for most of his career as a commercial truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Saltillo and loved playing his guitars. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was dearly loved by his family.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

William leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Rita Rhodus McKissick of Saltillo; two children, Christopher Lee McKissick (Kacy) of Saltillo and Jennifer Annette Kidd (Craig) of Smyrna, TN; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ryleigh McKissick. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Rhodus, Steve Spears, Robert Wells, Craig Kidd, Russell Pardin, and David Putt.
