Furrs Community—Jo Ann Watson Hubert, 78, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. She was born January 14, 1939 in Lee County to Willard Dee Watson and Elizabeth Christine Potts Watson. Jo Ann was a hard worker all of her life. She began her working career in the garment and furniture industries and later became the manager of Dixie Gas. She was also the owner of A Ace Trucking. Always active, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, quilting, canning, reading, ceramics gardening, and working in her yard. But her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

The family will have a private graveside service with Bro. Ray Gober and Jim Herrington officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Jo Ann leaves behind her children, Teresa Berry of Pontotoc, Brenda Adams (Phillip) of Amory, Richard Sprayberry (Melissa) of Pontotoc; a step-son, Michael Hubert of Pontotoc; her sister Judy Sims of Hatley; her brother, Glen Watson of Verona; 8 grandchildren, Heather Berry, Hope Norris, Michelle Barksdale (Eric), Zenda Adams, Cyrstal Pickering (Tracy), Ashley Jernigan, Elizabeth Sprayberry, and Gabriella Sprayberry; 12 great-grandchildren, Kristin, Laura, Christian, Wesley, Skylar, Caden, Breleigh, Hailey, Addison, Mikayla, Evan, and Bentley; and one great-great-granddaughter, Juliana Hackett.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard Watson; her mother, Christine Watson Hawkins; her husband of 35 years, William Marvin Hubert; her son, Thomas Berry; and her brother, David Watson and her great-grandson, Hunter.
