Emilie  Tackett
Emilie Baisden Tackett, 74, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born February 13, 1942 in Kirk, West Virginia to Albert and Laura Belle Baisden. She was a homemaker and worked for Joe’s Pillow Factory for many years. Her hobbies included crocheting, dancing, baking cookies and arts and crafts. Nothing was more important to her than her family.
Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church with Rev. Paul Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her children, Jim Tackett of Bryn Mawr, PA and Sue Ann Averett (Wayne) of Saltillo; five sisters, Nona Fay Spurlock (Jim), Connie Williamson (Danny), Lori Browning (Roland), Rhonda Bowen (James) and Melissa Doss (Farron) all of WV; six brothers, Albert Baisden (Barbara), Thomas Baisden (Ellie), Paul Baisden (Sue), Art Baisden (Sheila), Harold Baisden and John Baisden (Dorothy) all of WV; four grandchildren, Will Tackett, Natalia Tackett, Lydia Averett and Nora Averett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Tackett; two brothers, James Baisden and Landen Baisden; two sisters, Ersie Reed and Eula May Stafford.
Visitation will be 12 – 1:45 Tuesday in the Parish Hall of the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House.
