Life Story for Ruth Savage

Minnie Ruth Savage, 77, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the North MS Medical Center, Hospice Unit after a lengthy illness. She was born July 8, 1939 in Oxford. She was a longtime seamstress working for HIS Garment Factory and Leggitt and Platt. She enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping, decorating her home and yard for the holidays, spending time with her family and keeping her grandbabies. She was a Baptist.
Services will be 2 PM Friday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Weaver (Jerry) of Auburn, Kathy Scott (J.R.) of Lexington, NC and Barbara Keith (Tim) of Palmetto; eight grandchildren, Amy Moore (Dewayne), Tanya Phillips, Danny Yeager (Lori), Krissy Keith, David Phillips, Jr., Amanda Parker (Scottie), Timothy Keith (Mandy) and Brandon Parker (Erin); sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Ann Stewart of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her father, L.Q. Stewart; her mother and stepfather, Ruby and Vernon Dickens; her husband, Herman Savage and one son, Michael Savage;
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 Thursday.
